An event of 3 days in Algarve
The afternoon began aboard a private vintage tram, weaving through Lisbon's most emblematic neighbourhoods from the elegance of Lapa to the raw authenticity of Alfama, Castelo and Bairro Alto. An hour of living history, told through cobblestones, tiled facades and the spirit of a city that has always known how to endure.
On foot, the group then explored the oldest quarters of Lisbon, tracing the city's Moorish past through narrow streets full of memory and atmosphere. Along the way, authentic flavours: a stop for ginjinha, the city's iconic cherry liquor, followed by a traditional Pastel de Nata, Portuguese coffee and a tasting of local cheeses and cured meats.
The walk culminated at the Glória Lift, the historic funicular connecting the lower city to the heights of Bairro Alto, opening onto the panoramic Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara. A welcome drink at the Palácio Ludovice Wine Hotel offered a moment of refined pause before the evening ahead.
Dinner took place at Maat Kitchen, set within the award-winning Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology on the banks of the Tagus. Facing the point where the river meets the Atlantic, the group gathered around a three-course set menu of Mediterranean and signature cuisine, with drinks included, in one of Lisbon's most architecturally striking and culturally resonant spaces.
A Vinitur guide accompanied the group throughout, ensuring seamless transitions, local context and a warm, human presence from start to finish.
"Thanks Liliana. The group really enjoyed the tour and it went very well and smoothly."
