An event of 3 days in Algarve

The challenge

When a valued international partner approached VINITUR to organise an incentive programme for a Brazilian agricultural cooperative and its guests, the objective was to create more than a traditional group trip. With senior business leaders among the participants, the programme needed to balance opportunities for professional exchange with memorable shared experiences. Lisbon was the starting point, with a visit to a renowned Portuguese wine producer also requested. The challenge was to bring together Portuguese culture, distinctive gastronomy, wine experiences and meaningful moments of connection, while ensuring every detail was carefully coordinated throughout the journey.

The proposal

Vinitur designed a tailor-made four-day programme centred on Lisbon and its surroundings, combining the capital’s historic character with the wine heritage of the Tejo region and the medieval charm of Óbidos. The itinerary brought together a private tram experience through Lisbon’s traditional neighbourhoods, guided cultural visits, a journey through Portuguese gastronomy, a visit to a leading wine estate and exclusive dining experiences. Alongside the leisure programme, Vinitur coordinated accommodation, airport assistance, meeting facilities, personalised welcome and farewell gifts, private transportation and dedicated on-the-ground support.
Every element was designed to create a seamless experience, strengthen relationships and offer an authentic taste of Portugal.

The Execution
Day 1
A Warm Welcome to Lisbon

The experience began with airport assistance and a smooth arrival at the hotel, where personalised welcome gifts and welcome letters awaited participants in their rooms. After lunch and time to relax, the group set out to discover Lisbon through a private tram ride across its historic neighbourhoods. Along the way, guests enjoyed the city’s distinctive atmosphere, accompanied by a tasting of Port wine and the iconic Portuguese custard tart. The day concluded with a welcome dinner at an elegant restaurant overlooking Lisbon, where contemporary interpretations of Portuguese cuisine set the tone for the days ahead.

Day 1
Day 2
Business Connections, Culture & Gastronomy

The morning began with a dedicated meeting for the cooperative’s and client’s leadership teams. VINITUR coordinated the meeting room, audiovisual equipment and refreshments, ensuring a comfortable and professional setting for business discussions. Meanwhile, accompanying guests explored Belém on a guided walking tour, discovering its remarkable maritime heritage and monumental architecture, followed by a Portuguese pastry tasting. The group reunited for a panoramic journey through Lisbon’s traditional neighbourhoods in eco-friendly tuk-tuks, travelling towards a riverside restaurant specialising in fresh fish and seafood. In the afternoon, the group visited Lisbon’s Oceanarium, discovering marine biodiversity and the importance of ocean conservation. The day ended with a private fine-dining experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant, where Portuguese ingredients, culinary creativity and carefully selected wine pairings made dinner a highlight of the programme.

Day 2
Day 3
Wine Heritage & Medieval Portugal

The third day took the group beyond Lisbon to discover the wine culture of the Tejo region. At a renowned wine estate, participants explored the vineyards and winery, learning about the region’s distinctive terroir and winemaking traditions. A guided tasting offered the opportunity to discover different wine styles and appreciate the diversity of Portuguese wine production. Lunch at a family-run restaurant in Santarém introduced the group to traditional Portuguese cuisine with a contemporary touch. In the afternoon, the programme continued to Óbidos, a charming medieval village of whitewashed houses, colourful details and winding streets enclosed by historic walls. The experience was complemented by a special sparkling wine tasting accompanied by selected snacks and sweets, creating another opportunity to enjoy Portugal’s gastronomic heritage in a distinctive setting. Back in Lisbon, the group gathered for a farewell dinner combining contemporary cuisine, Portuguese flavours and a relaxed atmosphere. Personalised farewell gifts awaited participants in their rooms, providing a final thoughtful touch before departure.

Day 3
Day 4
