Responsible Tourism Policy

At VINITUR – Tourism, Wine & Gastronomy, Ltd, the concern with our visitors` satisfaction and well-being is our major priority.
    VINITUR – Tourism, Wine & Gastronomy, Ltd  is located in the city of Matosinhos. Our Municipality borders, in the north, with Vila do Conde Municipality, in the North-East with Maia Municipality, in the South with the city of Porto and westbound with the Atlantic Ocean.
    Land of traditions and memories, with the Atlantic Ocean as its table, cradle of modern architecture, monuments and historical recriations.
Touristic Matosinhos is, undoubtedly, gastronomy, modern archictecture and its vast shoreline. Many are its charms.
This gastronomic unique patrimony tightly connected to the sea and the modern architecture, with emphasis on Álvaro Siza (whose bonds to Matosinhos are very strong) aside with the different parishes filled with fantastic traditions, deserve all our respect and concern in reducing the impact of our activity, contributing therefore in a positive way for the dissemination of the local economy and the appreciation of what is “truly ours and genuine”. 
    As a follow up, we assume the commitment to undertake a VINITUR – Tourism, Wine and Gastronomy Ltd. sustainable activities management by optimizing our behaviour towards the environment, fulfilling the established requirements at the Biosphere referential, motivating and creating our working teams under the Responsible Tourism Principles and, finally, promoting good and sustainable practices by envolving all our personnel, from clients and partners to team and providers. Ensuring our space sanitary safety will also be one of our main goals.
    Keeping in mind the respect we must all have towards the Human Being, we abide to keep on fighting against any form of exploitation or discrimination, particularly in relation to the minorities, by including improvement goals to what concerns the access for all, no matter their incapacity. And this way pursue on a continuous evolution in all matters related to social, economic and environmental sustainability as well as the client satisfaction.    
    This Responsible Tourism Policy will be updated every time the circumstances so demand it, adopting and publicising, in both cases, new sustainability objectives.
